- The effects of didactic proposal of Hearing Education in musical performancePublication . Cardoso, Mário; Silva, Levi Leonido; Morgado, ElsaOne of the challenges of the contemporary educational musical context is the urgency of building and developing a multidisciplinary and multidimensional vision that can, on the one hand, contribute to the overcoming of fragmented pedagogical practices of the context and musical syntax, and, on the other hand, contextualize and develop a set of auditory, cognitive and expressive abilities. This fact is observed in the pedagogical practices of the curricular units associated to the construction and development of the musical formation of the individuals, whose paradigms are based on the technical-expressive development, isolation of fundamental elements of the musical syntax and lag between contemporary production and its teaching processes and learning. Based on the relevance and contemporaneousness of these pedagogical practices in the current context, an experimental, methodological approach was developed to verify if the implementation of a multidimensional and multidimensional model of auditory education affects performance improvement and understanding. This empirical research was developed in a context of Higher Education, using an experimental, methodological line, with a control group with pre-test and post-test. From the analysis and interpretation of the results emerge indicators that the teaching and learning process is based on the Multidimensional Model of Auditory Education, contributes to the development of learning and recognition of elements (rhythmic and metrical structure, melodic and harmonic organization, expressive elements and stylistic and instrumental diversity) fundamental in the understanding of musical syntax.
- Reflections on the neuroscience and musical performancePublication . Licursi, Maria Beatriz; Morgado, Elsa; Silva, Levi Leonido; Cardoso, MárioThe neuroscience is a vast and fertile field for studies of musical performance because it established the understanding of musicality and nervous system to understand the process of functioning of the human mind in its most diverse potentialities. Since Music is a human manifestation and construction, its cognitive function makes it possible to capture the modulations of the feelings and the creative act and has been an excellent pivot for neuro scientific study in the understanding of how the brain processes the sound stimuli and organizes the musical functions. As the success in musical performance requires an exceptional excellent motor control, in addition to an in-depth knowledge of the musical structure demands a high demand of corporal work.

- Rethinking teacher training from an inclusive and community dialogical perspectivePublication . Morgado, Elsa; Rodrigues, João Bartolomeu; Silva, Levi LeonidoThis quantitative survey using a structured questionnaire with closed questions and a sample of 340 participants from 20 courses (bachelor's and master's degrees) at public higher education institutions in the Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro region of the Portuguese university (University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro) and polytechnic (Polytechnic Institute of Bragança) subsystem aims to list a group of proposals for reflection and future implementation that can fill or mitigate gaps and weaknesses identified in the disciplines of the curricula related to internships. The analysis of the data reveals indicators indicating the need for a (formal and conceptual) rethinking of inclusive intervention in the context of supervision in the field of teacher training. These indicators include problems with operating in a multifaceted educational setting, enhancing an interdisciplinary, integrated and inclusive approach, rearranging curriculum and reconsidering the functional profiles and competencies of teaching staff. Therefore, the construction of a professional culture that favors an integrative and inclusive approach through the assumption of a broad profile of professional competence capable of training the teacher in a multidimensional educational context is crucial. We evaluate the necessity of encouraging research of this type involving additional factors, populations and samples in order to enable the extrapolation of data and findings to a national level providing significance and technological foundations for decisions made within the context of public education policy.
- Educação e Património: Memória, Identidade e Dinâmicas EducativasPublication . Morgado, Elsa; Licursi, Maria Beatriz; Silva, Levi LeonidoThis study aims to develop a critical reflection on the theme under analysis, which invariably relates to the cultural diversity affecting the formation of future generations, their challenges, and opportunities. Theoretical Framework: This work refers to the dichotomous dynamics between education and heritage on a basis of intrinsically dialogic reflection arising from the relational structure between memory and identity and educational dynamics as the epicenter of this same interaction and conceptual deepening. A properly cared for (and lived) cultural heritage provides us with a broad view of the history of a country, a people, or a particular group that, in due time, will actively contribute to the formation of the identity of that country, that people, or group. This cycle determines the formation of groups, social categories, and the recovery of memory, thus triggering a connection between the citizen and their roots. Promoting the preservation, continuity, and informed innovation of current and future interlocutors. Science, technology, and innovation play a preponderant role at various levels and domains of this dialogical matrix between identity, heritage, and cultural dimensions and the educational dimension of commitment to the formation of contemporary and future generations, grounded in an educational perspective aimed at the transformative action of man (and his activity) in the world in which he is inserted and that surrounds him. Method: Narrative literature review, aiming to describe or discuss the current state of the researched topic. Results and Discussion: It is inferred that the relationship between education and heritage is intrinsic, as both are linked to the preservation of the memory and cultural identity of a society. Heritage, whether material or immaterial, is a rich source of knowledge that can be explored in educational contexts to promote understanding of the history and traditions of a people. Research Implications: Certain considerations for reflection and improvement are envisaged for the future, based on the structure and conceptual basis emanating from the authors (and works) of reference that deal with the theme under discussion and reflection. Originality/Value: This review triangulates, in an original way, the relationship between memory, identity, and educational dynamics in the context of education and heritage. Promoting, on the one hand, reflection on the theme and the articulation between areas and, on the other hand, challenging new studies to put into interaction the intersection of knowledge from conceptually close areas in teaching/investigative professional activity.
- A (re)construção do perfil profissional do administrador contemporâneoPublication . Bezerra, Sefisa; Silva, Levi Leonido; Morgado, Elsa; Cardoso, Mário; Viana, RebecaThe present study intends to test the application of renewed learning practices through the use of interdisciplinary methods that can contemplate behavioral, emotional and specific aspects (intrapersonal and interpersonal intelligences) in the process of professional development among undergraduate students in Administration (n=478) from the University of the Acaraú Valley (Brazil). Based on the assumption that the introduction of renewed learning practices enables the introduction/reinforcement of knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes that, in line with the expectations of the organizations and the aspirations of society, can translate into a more humanized contemporary management, a research paradigm has been defined that assumes two paths that integrate mixed methods in the collection and analysis of data: (1) a quantitative nature in order to assess the impact of the use of active learning practices; (2) a qualitative nature in order to understand the opinions of the course format, its development, use and learning. As such, the data were collected through the application of the Multiple Intelligences Inventory for Adults (MIIA), an instrument created by Armstrong and adapted from the Howard Gardner Multiple Intelligence Test. Regarding the treatment and analysis of the collected data, statistical procedures of a descriptive and inferential nature were favored through the statistical software SPSS. The results obtained reinforce the need to (re) think systematization and didactic procedures that are able to dynamize the learning in the context of the classroom and the development of the different dimensions / competences necessary and fundamental to the construction of the identity / profile of the professional of the administration / contemporary management.
- A neuroscientific approach to musical cognition and its relevance to body-mind-instrument integrationPublication . Licursi, Maria Beatriz; Silva, Levi Leonido; Morgado, Elsa; Cardoso, MárioThis article is a review of the PhD research in Educational Sciences that aims to reflect on the relevance of the cognitive aspects in musical performance and how much body language is relevant in an interdisciplinary perspective regarding the body-mind- instrument integration in development artistic- musical. The research based on the mapping of the literature on the neuroscientific studies that approach the processes of fruition and musical interpretation performed the evaluation of the perception by professionals and music students in Brazil. We investigated the actions, representations and thoughts, whose mental processes allow the communication of the musician, such as the cognitive, motivational and emotional processes that manifest themselves integrating themselves in the construction and result of musical performance
