Abstract(s)
With the current pandemic situation that is experienced throughout the world, new personal and professional challenges have arisen. In higher education there was a huge adaptation at all levels, since it has had to be reformulated in order to respond to the new socio-educational needs that revolve around the forced technological world. In this context, new technologies had to be applied and introduced on a scale that had never been necessary before. These are issues that cause great concern and stress to the entire teaching community, teachers and students, who feel unmotivated and frustrated due to academic, personal and emotional reasons. The objective of this work is to analyse the technological motivating effort that teachers can have, the specific way to use technological strategies or means as a form of motivation, as well as examine how these obstacles can be turned in incentive and transform technology into attractiveness in the area of Humanities, not only in foreign languages, in this case Spanish, but also in other subjects such as Spanish literature and culture. Throughout the work we will analyse strategies, methods and motivational techniques of a digital type and indicate the results obtained āpedagogical, evaluative, satisfaction and integration of the students, as well as criticalā that were implemented in 2019/2020 at the Polythecnic Institute of Bragança in the degrees of Languages and Tourism, both on the BraganƧa and Mirandela campuses, through the Zoom-Colibri platform in the 2nd semester. This research is essentially descriptive, being carried out through participant observation of the teacher, the registration of digital interactions and their subsequent analysis and reflection. Likewise, quantitative data collection instruments were also used, such as the final satisfaction survey. From the analysis of the data, it was verified how the combination of a traditionally classical subject with digital technologies through the application of more interactive and collaborative tasks favored a greater involvement of the student with the teaching subject. A fact that highlights the importance of adapting traditional teaching to the new ecosystem that invades the classrooms, that is, a more visual, interactive and connected student.
