Recognize the emotions or feelings, and emotional expressions, expressed by hospitalized
patients and family members, during a musical visit experience, in a Palliative Care Unit (PCU). based on an action research with the implementation of a musical experience, an exploratory,
phenomenological study was developed, through the qualitative analysis of discursive
components, with a sample of 163 elements – patients and family members - in a UCP, in a socio-
regional economic contexto in the North of Portugal.
