For this reason, companies operating in rural tourism must adopt specific measures to be able to promote their product/service, and the tourist destination itself, being able to use the various digital marketing tools for the same purpose. In this sense, the main objective of this paper is to analyse the presence of Casa da Lagoa, Portugal, in the different social media, through an exploratory analysis of its website and a quantitative analysis of the other social media used by the company

Neiva Santos, Melanie; Couto, Rute; Santos, Susana Ferreira dosEm primeiro lugar, esta nova edição justifica-se pelas recentes alterações ao Código Civil, introduzidas pela Lei nº 39/2025, de 1 de abril, que proibiu o casamento de menores e, consequentemente, fez desaparecer o instituto jurídico da emancipação. Por esse motivo, vários casos práticos tiveram de ser ajustados, de modo a ficarem em consonância com as alterações legislativas. Mantivemos, nesta edição, a estrutura original do livro, enriquecendo-a com novos casos práticos. A presente edição representa, assim, um esforço de melhoria e continuidade do objetivo principal: o de servir de apoio pedagógico aos nossos estudantes e a todos quantos frequentem unidades curriculares de Introdução ao Direito e Teoria Geral do Direito Civil, integradas nos planos de estudos dos seus cursos. No essencial, o livro reúne situações práticas apresentadas aos nossos estudantes em sala de aula e em exames. Os casos têm por base exemplos inspirados na jurisprudência e doutrina portuguesas, bem como na experiência profissional das autoras. A metodologia adotada consiste na aplicação de normas jurídicas a situações concretas, com apresentação de tópicos de resolução, que incentivem e estimulem os discentes a desenvolver um raciocínio jurídico crítico e rigoroso. A informação de acesso público incluída em alguns dos casos práticos foi consultada aleatoriamente e utilizada exclusivamente para fins académicos.
- Perceptions and Challenges of Silvopastoralism in Trás-os-Montes: Insights from the Agricultural SectorPublication . Dias, Estefânia; Ribeiro, Maria Isabel; Castro, MarinaSilvopastoralism is a traditional land-use practice that integrates extensive livestock farming with forestry, generating both economic and environmental advantages. Over time, however, it has declined in relevance and the number of practitioners threatening its continuity and the ecosystem services it provides. This study aims to explore the perceptions of farmers and agricultural stakeholders in the Trás-os-Montes region concerning silvopastoral practices, while identifying the main barriers to their implementation and ways to encourage their adoption. A total of 60 anonymous surveys were carried out for this purpose. The results indicate that respondents see silvopastoralism as highly valuable in terms of wildfire prevention, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable natural resource management. It is particularly regarded as suitable for implementation in mature forest areas and regions with high levels of biomass. Nevertheless, several challenges hinder its adoption, including the lack of technical assistance, low economic returns, and limited awareness of existing research projects in this field. Another significant point raised by this research is the importance of preserving autochthonous livestock breeds, which are deeply connected to silvopastoral practices but increasingly at risk due to their decline. The study also emphasizes the urgent need to rethink rural land management models-especially by developing support mechanisms for producers who engage in silvopastoralism. The future of this practice in Trás-os-Montes will rely not only on the ability of farmers to adapt to modern-day challenges, but also on the broader societal recognition of its environmental benefits and the political will to strengthen and promote it.

Gonçalves, Bruno F.Quando a Palavra Encontra a Ciência, o Conhecimento Ganha Voz Fui convidado a redigir o prefácio desta obra e recebi este convite com um significado muito especial, uma vez que provém de um grupo de alunos que estão a frequentar o Doutoramento em Ciências da Comunicação, na Universidade Católica de Moçambique. Para o professor não há maior honra do que ver os passos dados por aqueles que fizeram parte do seu contexto formativo. Para mim, a transformação da inquietude académica deles num projeto tão importante e significativo é um orgulho, mas além disso, é um testemunho da mudança que a investigação e a colaboração nos podem proporcionar.
- SEO in Rural Tourism: A Case Study of Terras de Trás-os-Montes-PortugalPublication . Morais, Elisabete Paulo; Esteves, Elsa Tavares; Cunha, Carlos R.; Jia, HemingThis research investigates the application of search engine optimization (SEO) in developing the digital image of rural tourism businesses in the Terras de Trás-os-Montes region of Portugal. With digital marketing becoming increasingly important for businesses to stay competitive, SEO has become a vital tool for developing online recognition, qualified traffic acquisition, and enhancement of conversion rates. The research performs an SEO analysis of 21 rural tourism websites by applying the Ubersuggest tool, analyzing such key indicators as on-page SEO scores, organic traffic, keyword ranking, backlinks, and technical performance. The results identify wide SEO performance discrepancies, with some sites registering excellent practices and others with critical errors that impair the sites’ online recognizability. In particular, low word count, absent meta description, and loading speed issues are very much present. The research emphasizes the need for effective SEO methods, such as on-page maintenance, content creation, and link building, to advance search engine ranking and end-user experience. Moreover, the study emphasizes the necessity for rural tourism businesses to evolve and adapt to current SEO trends, i.e., voice search optimization and local SEO, in the changing digital business environment. The results provide recommendations for rural tourism businesses to develop their digital marketing activities and make progress online.
