Abstract(s)
RaussTuna - Tuna Mista de Bragança or Mixed Tuna of Bragança, is currently made up of 50% active members and 50% inactive members. Active members are understood to be all elements who currently attend a higher professional technician course (CTeSP), a degree or a master's degree at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança and who are not worker-students. The following are inactive members: i) all those who have completed their scientific career in higher education and who do not intend to continue their studies; ii) all those who have started their professional life, regardless of whether they have completed the course in which they were enrolled; and iii) all elements that are not currently residing in the city of Bragança. In the present summary, we present a case study that intended to profile these inactive members and the corresponding analysis that was based on the narrative review of internal documents, on participant observation and on the unstructured interview with RaussTuna partners to answer the question: which the contribution that inactive members make or can make to this tuna? To this end, proposals made at the General Assembly meetings and at the meetings of the Courts, from two thousand and fourteen to the present date, were analyzed in detail. The planning and execution of such proposals were also analyzed. On the one hand, it was found that most of these proposals were submitted by inactive members. On the other hand, it was found that inactive members tend to feel a duty of commitment to follow the activities of the tuna, either in person, or through social networks or by videoconference. It is also important to highlight that their contribution, based on the experience they acquired as active members of the tuna and on the sharing of professional knowledge, is important to: i) assist the active voice and the management of RaussTuna, contributing to the evolution of this mixed tuna; and ii) to strengthen a spirit of union between the various generations of the tuna. These main results demonstrate that the inactive members of RaussTuna have played an active role in tunae entrepreneurship education and in the development and dynamism of the various activities of RaussTuna – tuna Mista de Bragança
