Resumo(s)

Mobile architecture in all its variety - a lively collection of mobile, portable, and movable structures of all kinds. Celebrate mobile architecture in all its forms with this visual ode to life on the move. Ranging from quirky to sensible and from rustic to deluxe, featured projects include houseboats, huts, and tricked-out caravans, alongside disaster shelters, wearable structures, and futuristic prototypes. This compactly designed package features more than 250 colour photographs and a smart, engaging layout that will appeal to anyone who appreciates the power of good design. Reusing cast-off kitchen storage units to form the base of their mobile baby care unit, designers and parents Jacinta and Carlos Casimiro da Costa created 25 Pedra de Sal. The diminutive mobile unit reconfigures components from a child’s bike and incorporates disused tubing, spare wheels, and acrylic sheet and an old car mirror. The combined result is a new brightly coloured crib that includes built-in storage for baby clothes, bedding and care products and as well as an nappy changer drawer. Resourcefully designed and built by the Costas for their two children, the mobile unit is the coolest crib around.
