Abstract(s)
software IBM SPSS Statistics.
acesso Wi-Fi; apoio turístico; alojamento, restauração e similares; agenda cultural;
importantes para as mulheres.
Given the importance of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), this research aimed to analyze the experience of using ICT for tourism in a Portuguese smart city. Therefore, a quantitative, cross-sectional and analytical study was developed based on a non-probabilistic accidental sample composed of 105 tourists who traveled to Bragança in June 2019. A questionnaire structured in three sections and made available in four languages was used to collect the data, subsequently, analyzed with the IBM SPSS Statistics software. The sample distribution by gender was equitable. The majority of tourists were Portuguese, Spanish and French with higher education qualifications and monthly income up to 3000 euros. They traveled alone on vacation or to visit friends and relatives. The hotel was the place where most of the ICT was used, especially, applications and/or information related to Wi-Fi access; tourism support; accommodation, restaurants and similar; cultural agenda; travel agencies; and, language translators. ICT related to weather forecast, car rental and webcams proved to be especially important for women.
