Atualmente verifica-se uma elevada taxa de desemprego entre as pessoas com deficiência, havendo muitos estereótipos acerca desta realidade, vendo estas pessoas como sendo menos produtivas e menos capazes que os restantes. Esta visão e também o desconhecimento que existe relativamente a este assunto dificultam não só a integração na sociedade, como no mercado de trabalho.
Ao analisar esta problemática na perspetiva da educação social, definiu-se a seguinte questão problema: De que forma os empregadores favorecem a inclusão de pessoas com deficiência?. Considerando a questão problema formulada foram propostos os seguintes objetivos do estudo: analisar a perceção dos empregadores relativamente à inclusão de pessoas com deficiência; e perceber de que forma os empregadores favorecem, efetivamente, a inclusão de pessoas com deficiência (medidas adotadas).
O estudo realizado assume uma natureza predominantemente qualitativa com análise quantitativa de alguns dados do questionário, tendo sido utilizados a entrevista semiestruturada e o questionário como instrumentos de recolha de dados. O grupo de participantes é constituído por 6 empregadores de pessoas com deficiência na cidade de Bragança.
Os resultados deste estudo indicam que, apesar de alguns dos participantes considerarem que as pessoas com deficiência se encontram integradas na sociedade, todos eles concordam que existem ainda muitos preconceitos e obstáculos a serem ultrapassados, nomeadamente no que diz respeito à produtividade e competências destas pessoas.
Os empregadores demonstraram ainda preocupação com a adequação das funções e tarefas desempenhadas pelos trabalhadores com deficiência às suas características e limitações. Pode ainda afirmar-se que, na opinião dos participantes, a formação constitui uma ferramenta essencial na integração destas pessoas.
There is currently a high unemployment rate among people with disability, and there are many stereotypes about this reality, seeing this people as less productive and less capable than the others. This vision and also the lack of knowledge about this subject not only dificults integration into society but into the labor market. Analyzing this problem from the perspective of social education, the following question was defined: How do employers favor the inclusion of people with disability?. Considering the problem question formulated the following study objectives were proposed: to analyze the perception of employers regarding the inclusion of people with disability; and understand how employers favor the inclusion of people with disability. This study is predominantly qualitative in nature with quantitative analysis, using as data collection instruments the semi-structured interview and questionnaire. The group of participants consists of 6 employers of people with disability in Bragança city. The results of this study indicate that while some participants consider that people with disability are integrated into society, they all agree that there are still many prejudices and obstacles to overcome, especially regarding access to the labor market. Employers also expressed concern about the adequacy of the functions and tasks performed by workers with disability to their characteristics and limitations. It can also be stated that, in the participants' opinion, training is an essential tool in the integration of these people.
