Abstract(s)
This report describes the project developed as part of the dissertation for the master's degree in Computer Science. The purpose of the project was to develop an application to manage the transportation of transport requests for a particular development. The aim of this application is to streamline the workflow of the transport requester and the transport team by automating various steps that would previously have been carried out manually by both parties. A Scrumban methodology was used to develop this project, consisting of several sprints in which different tasks were defined with the aim of speeding up the creation process. The data used to develop the solution was derived from a wide range of existing data in the SAP ERP system, such as user and order data, as well as data created using the application, which was then stored in the environment using tables. In short, the solution produced an efficient application capable of simplifying the management of transport requests. Automating the stages of releasing and transporting transport requests has optimized the workflow as a whole. In addition, automating the exchange of emails throughout the process not only improved the flow, but also the productivity of all those involved.
