A Guiné-Bissau é uma ex-colónia portuguesa que fica situada na Costa Atlântica da África Ocidental e ao logo de várias décadas, após a sua independência tem enfrentado crises em todos os setores socias, o que origina uma forte dependência da comunidade internacional. Deste modo, no âmbito da dissertação do mestrado em Gestão das Organização realiza-se a presente investigação, que tem como objetivo principal averiguar a perceção do contributo e importância das Organizações sem Fins Lucrativos (OSFL), especificamente as ONG, no desenvolvimento socioeconómico da Guiné-Bissau. Neste sentido, como instrumentos de recolha dos dados, no período compreendido entre fevereiro e março de 2021, foi realizado um inquérito por questionário e procedeu-se à realização de entrevistas direcionadas às entidades administrativas a nível local e nacional, incluindo também alguns professores e estudantes de ensino superior. Os resultados permitem constatar que as ONG têm tido um papel fundamental na área da saúde, educação, agricultura e desporto, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento/manutenção da Guiné-Bissau. Tendo como objetivo efetuar um estudo prévio para desenvolvimento de um modelo de gestão de uma fundação de natureza sócio cultural na Guiné-Bissau, vocacionada para o incentivo à literacia e educação da população jovem e promoção de atitudes empreendedoras na sociedade guineense através do desporto, procedeu-se à apresentação da Fundação Braima Dabó - FBD.

Thus, within the scope of the master's thesis in Organizational Management, the present investigation is carried out, whose main objective is to investigate the perception of the contribution and importance of Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs), specifically NGOs, in the socioeconomic development of Guinea -Bissau. In this sense, as data collection instruments, in the period between February and March 2021, a questionnaire survey was carried out and interviews were carried out with administrative entities at local and national level, also including some teachers and students. of higher education. The results show that NGOs have played a fundamental role in the area of health, education, agriculture and sport, contributing to the development/maintenance of Guinea-Bissau. Aiming to carry out a preliminary study for the development of a management model for a foundation of a socio-cultural nature in Guinea-Bissau, aimed at encouraging literacy and education of the young population and promoting entrepreneurial attitudes in Guinean society through sport, proceeded to the presentation of the Braima Dabó Foundation - FBD.
