Educação Pré-escolar e 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico, integrada no 2.º ano do plano de
estudos do Mestrado em Educação Pré-Escolar e Ensino do 1.º Ciclo do Ensino Básico,
da Escola Superior de Educação, do Instituto Politécnico de Bragança. A temática deste
multicultural.
a diversidade cultural.
forma respeitosa e harmoniosa, potenciar a conivência e interações com diferentes
pessoas e diversas culturas é, ainda, fundamental neste processo.

In this way, the following objectives were outlined i) Understand children’s perceptions of cultural diversity; ii) Insert cultural diversity into learning moments; iii) Value different cultures; iv) Create strategies and activities to promote multicultural education. The study carried out in practice contexts focuses on a qualitative approach, using direct and participant observation, field notes and children's productions as data collection techniques and instruments. Data analysis was carried out through content analysis. This analysis shows the carrying out of diverse activities across various cultures, promoting respect for all. It can be highlighted that there is still a lot to develop in relation to cultural issues and values, so the intervention of the school and teachers in this process is essential, as they have to value and explore with the children and the entire school community the difference and cultural diversity. The world we live in is heterogeneous and multicultural, so it is essential to promote values that we can all live together and interact in a respectful and harmonious way. Improving collusion and interactions with different people and different cultures is also fundamental in this process. As the school is also multicultural and plays a fundamental role in building and training people, it must act in a way that integrates and enhances the positivity of diversity, as well as promoting opportunities for all.
