Resumo(s)
Artur Mirandela (1900-1964) was an antifascist and altruist Portuguese who lived in Bragança until the early 1950s. After the State Police forced him to leave the city, Artur Mirandela and his family settled in Matosinhos. He was imprisoned several times throughout his life for speaking out openly against Oliveira Salazar's dictatorship. He helped countless refugees from the Spanish Civil War and World War II seek shelter in other countries, particularly South America.
