Abstract(s)

Our paper presents a translinguistic and transcultural perspective on the work of English-speaking Canadian novelist Nancy Huston. The concepts of translingualism and transculture communication represent two major aspects of the transdisciplinary research. This specific view consists not of the voice, but rather of one of the voices that can attest our presence in the world and report on the experience gained. Thus, transdisciplinarity brings about a necessary view for the understanding of the world in which we live. Translinguistic andtranscultural features enable us to characterise the unspeakable space between two languages, space specific of Nancy Huston. This is thought to have resulted from a long contact between various cultures and linguistic spaces, to which different identities were added and allowed for the creation of the so-called phenomenon Hustonian.
