Resumo(s)

In this paper, the authors present the concept of a meta-social network, as an abstraction layer between different social networks, capable of providing information and opportu-nities that the direct use of social networks does not allow. The concept is defined as an ontology that describes the relationship of the users, their entities in social networks, and the relationships they have in each of these networks, according to their semantics (friend, works,...). In the paper, the authors specify the ontology using Protege and, present application examples describing their practical potential. The authors also discuss the problems and challenges that need to be resolved for its implementation.
