| dc.description.abstract | Vivemos numa sociedade onde somos cada vez mais confrontados com um enorme fluxo de informações que procuramos mais ou menos ativamente. A superabundância de informação está associada ao estado mental que ocorre quando um indivíduo, na presença de uma quantidade de informação, se vê limitado na tomada de decisões ajustadas e no cumprimento dos seus objetivos, por limitações de tempo e/ou capacidade de trabalho, sentindo-se imerso num mar de informação e de estímulos com quais tem dificuldade em lidar. A pertinência deste trabalho assenta no facto de poder contribuir para uma cidadania digital onde se revelam essenciais as competências para lidar com grandes quantidades de informação. Faremos para isso uma análise do conceito, das suas causas, dos seus impactos ou efeitos e, por outro lado, apontaremos distintas abordagens que podem mitigar o problema, bem como a necessidade de introduzir a temática no âmbito do conceito de cidadania digital. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | We live in a society where we are increasingly confronted with a huge flow of information that we more or less actively seek. Information overabundance is associated with the mental state that occurs when an individual, in the presence of an amount of information, finds himself limited in making appropriate decisions and meeting his objectives, due to time constraints and/or work capacity, feeling immersed in a sea of information and stimuli with which he has difficulty coping. The relevance of this work is based on the fact that it can contribute to a digital citizenship where the skills to deal with large amounts of information are essential. To do so, we will analyze the concept, its causes, its impacts or effects and, on the other hand, we will point out different approaches that can mitigate the problem, as well as the need to introduce the theme within the concept of digital citizenship. | pt_PT |
