| dc.description.abstract | Com base em investigação biobibliográfica e na análise do romance: Memórias de Branca Dias (2009), de Miguel Real, pretendemos redimensionar a figura dos judeus que emigraram para o espaço lusófono, perseguidos pela Inquisição portuguesa, com base na personagem histórica: Branca Dias. Desta forma, apresentá-la-emos como símbolo da mulher judia, fugida do terror inquisitorial, que lutou pela vida, pela liberdade religiosa e pela igualdade sexual, no Brasil do séc. XVI. O romance supracitado contém os elementos pelos quais Linda Hutcheon (1991) define metaficção historiográfica. Neste sentido, baseamos a leitura crítica que fizemos deste romance nos estudos que indicam o romance histórico contemporâneo como uma releitura crítica do passado. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Based on autobiographical research and the analysis of the novel: Memórias de Branca Dias (2009), by Miguel Real, we intend to resize the figure of the Jews who emigrated to the portuguese-speaking world, persecuted by the Portuguese Inquisition, based on the historical character: Branca Dias. In this way, we will present her as a symbol of the Jewish women, escaped from the inquisitorial terror, who fought for life, for religious freedom and for sexual equality, in the16th century Brazil. The aforementioned novel contains the elements by which Linda Hutcheon (1991) defines historiographical metafiction. In this sense, we base our critical reading of this novel on studies that indicate the contemporary historical novel as a critical rereading of the past. | pt_PT |
