Mundo realizada no país.

In addition to being the key to economic development, tourism is responsible for much of the job creation around the world. For this reason, the study of tourism competitiveness is of extreme importance for the evaluation and elaboration of strategies of the sector. This study has as main objective the study of the evaluation of the performance and the tourist competitiveness between the Brazilian regions by main emitting markets, based on the data of the monthly arrivals by access routes for the period of 2011 to 2015. For this it was used The instrument of Market Quota analysis (AQM) proposed by Faulkner (1997), and the Dissemination among tourist destinations in the main emitting markets, to make the analysis of the study even more complete. From the analysis, results were obtained that revealed that the number of arrivals in Brazil increased during the evaluation period, obtaining its greatest value in 2014, as a consequence of the World Cup held in the country. Regarding the Market Quota Analysis, it was observed that the tourism competitiveness between the Brazilian regions shows changes between destinations, the regions show different competitiveness indices for the different origins. Regarding the study of dissimilarity, the Southern Region was the most singular destination, while the Midwest and Southeast regions were the most similar.
