A evolução constante da sociedade tem colocado desafios na formação de estudantes mais capazes e competentes, reforçando a necessidade de procurar alternativas complementares aos métodos de ensino tradicionais.
Tem-se verificado uma dificuldade crescente de motivação dos alunos nas áreas das ciências empresariais, dada uma abordagem ainda muito teórica ou uma prática essencialmente de “papel e lápis”. Face a este contexto, decidiu-se desenvolver um simulador que possa ser usado no apoio à lecionação de algumas Unidades Curriculares (UC) nas áreas das ciências empresariais e tornar as UC mais atrativas e apelativas.
Enquadrado no Mestrado em Sistemas de Informação, da Escola Superior de Tecnologia e Gestão pertencente ao Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, este relatório pretende descrever o processo de desenvolvimento de um simulador empresarial para auxílio no ensino das áreas de Contabilidade e Gestão, que permita simular as atividades de empresas reais num ambiente virtual, e colocar na posição de gestores os utilizadores que nela se registem.
Para o desenvolvimento da plataforma, recorreu-se à utilização das linguagens de programação PHP e Javascript, linguagens marcação como HTML e CSS, e software de desenvolvimento integrado, Netbeans. Foram adicionalmente utilizadas tecnologias como Apache e MySQL, sobre um sistema operativo baseado em Linux.
Da realização do projeto resultou uma aplicação web que, analisando o volume de utilização e os resultados obtidos, considera-se uma ferramenta útil no auxílio da educação, no ambiente implementado.
Serve o presente relatório, para descrever todos os requisitos necessários ao desenvolvimento da aplicação e facilitar a compreensão de todas as funcionalidades implementadas.
The constant evolution of society has posed challenges in the formation of more capable and competent students, reinforcing the need to look for complementary alternatives to traditional teaching methods. There has been a growing difficulty in motivating students in the areas of business science, given a still very theoretical approach or a practice essentially of "paper and pencil". Given this context, it was decided to develop a simulator that can be used to support the teaching of some Curricular Units (CU) in the areas of business sciences and make CUs more attractive and appealing. This work, inserted in the Master in Information Systems studies plan, from the Technology and Management School, belonging to the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, has as goal to describe the developing of a business simulator to support the teaching of Accounting and Management, that allows the simulation of the activities of real companies in a virtual environment, and to put the users in the company manager position. To the platform development, were used programming languages such as PHP and Javascript, markup languages such as HTML and CSS, and na integrated development software, Netbeans. Additionally, technologies such as Apache and MySQL were used on a Linux-based operating system. The implementation of the project resulted in a web application that, analyzing the use volume and the results obtained, can be considered as a useful tool to help education in the implemented environment. This report is used to describe all the necessary requirements for the development of the application and to facilitate the understanding of all the functionalities implemented.
