Abstract(s)
The final report that we present focuses on the educational practices carried out throughout the curricular unit of Supervised Teaching Practice (PES) that was developed in the contexts of Nursery, Pre-school Education and 1st Cycle of Basic Education, is integrated in the 2nd. year of the master's study plan in Pre-School Education and Teaching of the 1st Cycle of Basic Education, at the Escola Superior de Educação, at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança. This report refers to the pedagogical activities carried out in the mentioned contexts and incorporates an investigative dimension on these practices, focusing on the theme Poetry for childhood: creativity in the pedagogical process. For this investigation, some objectives were outlined which we intend to respond to, namely: (i) to analyze pedagogical proposals within the scope of teaching-learning of poetry for children; (ii) knowing children's perceptions of poetry; (iii) reflect on poetry reading proposals offered to children in different contexts; (iv) develop pedagogical activities that promote creativity, based on poetry for children. The study carried out in practical contexts had a qualitative approach, using participant observation as a technique, and field notes and photographic records as instruments for data collection. In this document, learning experiences that took place from the reading of poetic texts are described and analyzed, demonstrating that working with these texts can be a useful and creative work tool for children's school career. With this investigation we try to show that the poetic text has great potential in the education of children and that, being a text characterized by a profoundly aesthetic relationship with language, it opens up wide possibilities for the development of a pedagogy oriented towards creativity.
