Abstract(s)
This survey details the academic study process for developing the optimization of an Excel spreadsheet based on the results made by the edometric test. This research aims to make the file more automated, ensuring the user a better treatment in the acquisition of test data more quickly and avoiding errors in the results. The setting of this optimization is based on the creation of a programming language on the VBA platform and Macros for Excel including the development of the visual performance of the file. The results provided by the edometric test become a database for the optimized Excel file. The test data is generated through the LabVIEW platform connected to the LVDT sensors and a 16-bit data acquisition board to the computer, which are performed during the consolidation test of earth masses followed by the Brazilian standards on DNER-IE Density Soils 005/94 and the international ASTM D2435 / D2435M - 11 (2020) Standard Test Methods for One-Dimensional Consolidation Properties of Soils Using Incremental Loading. It may conclude that the optimized Excel calculation file is suitable for use, serving as a calculation tool to assist the user who intends to obtain results after carrying out the edometric test of earth masses. The optimized Excel sheet performs most of the data processing intended for the test, however it is not yet complete. Thus, with the version developed in this survey, the excel file allows obtaining the compressibility and recompressibility indices of the sample / soil and the relationship curves between the void index and effective vertical tension applied to the sample. The optimized excel sheet does not allow obtaining the vertical consolidation coefficients.
