Ram’s fertility problems may cause serious management problems. Since is responsible for half the genetic information of a newborn lamb. However, infertility and subfertility rams have a major effect on herd fertility since one ram may get 30-40 ewes pregnant. Infertility is easier to identify than subfertility as sub-fertile rams, especially when mating in a large team of rams will get some ewes pregnant.
