Envolvimento com a comunidade como instrumento de crescimento das Tunas

| dc.description.abstract | Na presente pesquisa discute-se o envolvimento com a comunidade como motor de crescimento das Tunas Universitárias, em particular, da RaussTuna – Tuna Mista de Bragança (TMB), do Instituto Politécnico de Bragança (IPB), em Portugal – o nosso estudo de caso. A opção por este tema tem que ver com a importância que o envolvimento com a comunidade tem para as instituições de ensino superior e, por conseguinte, para a esfera das Tunas Universitárias. A envolvência com a comunidade, designadamente, com as instituições, a cultura e as pessoas constitui-se com um fator vital à subsistência das Tunas que deve ser tido em consideração na concretização da atividade das Tunas e nos seus objetivos enquanto grupos com responsabilidade académica, cultural, musical, artística e social. Na presente pesquisa pretende- se, portanto, identificar as dimensões em que se pode categorizar o envolvimento com a comunidade e, para cada uma delas, identificar ações concretas em que esse envolvimento se concretiza. A pesquisa é de natureza qualitativa, do tipo descrita, pelo que são adotados como instrumentos de recolha de dados a observação participante e a entrevista semiestruturada. Na observação participante, são retiradas informações a partir da página oficial da RaussTuna, da página das jornadas internacionais de tunas e ainda das redes sociais Facebook e Instagram e outras plataformas como, por exemplo, o Youtube. Todas as informações foram registadas no diário do investigador. Foram entrevistados os líderes dos órgãos da RaussTuna, designadamente, o Coordenador Musical, o Presidente do Conselho de Veteranos e o Presidente do Conselho Administrativo e Magíster sobre a interação da Tuna com os demais setores económicos e sociais da comunidade Bragançana. Todos os dados foram registados, tratados e categorizados no Google Sheets, sendo que foi efetuada uma análise de conteúdo de modo a identificarem-se todos os sentidos de resposta para cada uma das categorias encontradas. Os resultados sugerem que existe um conjunto de cinco categorias centrais que caracterizam o envolvimento das Tunas com a comunidade, designadamente: academia, ciência, cultura, música e causas sociais. Para cada uma destas categorias existe um conjunto de atividades que determinam a sua existência. Assim, na categoria academia destaca-se o envolvimento com a comunidade académica através da participação nas atividades do IPB, da Associação Académicas, Associações de Estudantes, Núcleos Estudantis e outras associações ou organismos internos; na categoria ciência destaca-se a participação em eventos de natureza científica no IPB, a produção e publicação de artigos científicos sobre a temática tunae, a organização das Jornadas Internacionais de Tunas; na categoria cultura dá-se nota da produção de projetos como, por exemplo, gravação de álbuns, singles, participação em certames e o contributo para a preservação do cancioneiro local e nacional; na categoria música destaca- se a realização de atuações gerais, litúrgicas e de canto e cordas e a composição de temas originais; na categoria causas sociais sinaliza-se a organização do Rauss&Tuna’S - Festival Solidário de Tunas Mistas em Bragança em que a bilheteira reverte na totalidade a favor de uma causa social , a colaboração e cooperação com as demais instituições do tecido social e ainda o contributo para apoiar eventos de solidariedade social. Todas as atividades identificadas parecem clarificar o envolvimento que a RaussTuna tem com o IPB, mas também com as demais instituições e entidades da cidade de Bragança. Neste sentido, constata-se que o envolvimento com a comunidade constitui-se, de forma clara, como um instrumento de crescimento das Tunas e, sem ele, é praticamente impossível as mesmas subsistirem, uma vez que para os autores, as Tunas só fazem sentido existirem se em colaboração permanente com as instituições e com os demais cidadãos. | dc.description.abstract | The present research discusses involvement with the community as an engine for the growth of University Tunas, in particular the RaussTuna - Tuna Mista de Bragança (TMB), of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB) in Portugal - our case study. The choice of this theme has to do with the importance that involvement with the community has for higher education institutions and, consequently, for the sphere of University Tunas. Involvement with the community, namely with institutions, culture and people, is a vital factor for the subsistence of Tunas which must be taken into consideration when carrying out the activity of Tunas and their objectives as groups with academic, cultural, musical, artistic and social responsibility. The aim of this research is therefore to identify the dimensions in which involvement with the community can be categorised and, for each of them, to identify concrete actions in which this involvement is realised. The research is of a qualitative nature, of the described type, and therefore participant observation and semistructured interviews are adopted as data collection tools. In participant observation, information is taken from the official page of RaussTuna, the page of the international days of tunas and also from the social networks Facebook and Instagram and other platforms such as, for example, Youtube. All information was recorded in the researcher's diary. The leaders of the organs of RaussTuna were interviewed, namely, the Musical Coordinator, the President of the Veterans Council and the President of the Administrative Council and Magíster about the interaction of the Tuna with the other economic and social sectors of the Bragançana community. All data were recorded, treated and categorized in Google Sheets, and a content analysis was performed in order to identify all the directions of response for each of the categories found. The results suggest that there is a set of five central categories that characterize the Tunas' involvement with the community, namely: academia, science, culture, music and social causes. For each of these categories there is a set of activities that determine their existence. Thus, in the academy category the involvement with the academic community through participation in the activities of the IPB, the Academic Association, Student Associations, Student Centres and other internal associations or bodies stands out; in the science category the participation in events of a scientific nature in the IPB, the production and publication of scientific articles on the tunae theme and the organisation of the International Tunas Conferences stand out; in the culture category we note the production of projects such as, for example, the recording of albums, singles, participation in competitions and the contribution to the preservation of the local and national songbook; in the music category we note the realization of general, liturgical and singing and string performances and the composition of original themes; in the social causes category, the organization of the Rauss&Tuna'S - Festival of Solidarity of Mixed Tunas in Bragança - in which the ticket sales revert entirely to a social cause, the collaboration and cooperation with other institutions of the social fabric, and also the contribution to support social solidarity events. All the activities identified seem to clarify the involvement that the RaussTuna has with the IPB, but also with other institutions and entities of the city of Bragança. In this sense, it can be seen that the involvement with the community clearly constitutes an instrument for the growth of the Tunas and, without it, it is practically impossible for them to exist, since for the authors, the existence of the Tunas only makes sense if in permanent collaboration with the institutions and with the other citizens.
