O presente documento pretende apresentar o trabalho desenvolvido e resultados obtidos no estudo de usabilidade de uma solução de videoconferência entre utilizadores com base na tecnologia WebRTC.
Este projeto foi proposto inicialmente pela FCCN, com o objetivo de melhorar as funcionalidades de uma plataforma existente, bem como a melhoria da experiência do utilizador na sua utilização.
Este projeto foi dividido em duas frentes de atuação: o Back End e Front End, sendo que o presente trabalho se refere maioritariamente ao Front End da plataforma.
Após o estudo da tecnologia WebRTC, e as suas potencialidades para o futuro da comunicação online, foi feita a análise da plataforma previamente criada, apontando as suas falhas e dando início à restruturação criando uma melhor solução para a experiência do utilizador.
No final é apresentado o resultado de uma proposta de solução baseada em estudos UX e UI com o objetivo de minimizar todos os obstáculos sentidos pelos utilizadores na versão anterior.
This document aims to present the work developed and results obtained in the study of usability of a videoconferencing solution between user based on WebRTC technology. This project was initially proposed by FCCN, aiming to improve the functionality of an existing platform,as well as improving user experience. This project was divided in two fronts of operation the Back End and Front End, the present work refers mainly to the Front End of the platform. After the study of the WebRTC technology, and its potential for the future of online communication, the analysis of the previously created platform was made, pointing out its failures and initiating the restructuring, creating a better solution for the user experience. At the end, the result of a solution proposal based on UX and UI studies is presented in order to minimize all obstacles experienced by users in the previous version.
