| dc.description.abstract | Este relatório é o resultado do estágio curricular realizado no mestrado de Tradução. Através deste trabalho pretende-se reportar as tarefas desenvolvidas ao longo desse período, mas também revelar capacidade de investigar e refletir sobre um tema integrante dos estudos de tradução. Assim o tema aborda as estratégias de tradução e a sua relação com os textos de cariz técnico. As estratégias são um tema recorrente nos estudos de tradução, sendo consideradas de relevo para a formação de tradutores, mas também para a prática quotidiana dos tradutores já no mercado, sendo, por isso, objetivo deste relatório refletir sobre esta temática, rever as principais propostas teóricas de estratégias, ponderar sobre o que é o texto de cariz técnico, apresentar o trabalho desenvolvidos ao longo de três meses de estágio e estabelecer uma relação entre a teoria abordada e a prática efetivamente desenvolvida. A primeira parte do relatório é composta por um enquadramento teórico que aborda as distinções terminológicas no âmbito das estratégias, procedimentos e método, bem como algumas das propostas de classificação mais relevantes. Aborda-se igualmente o texto e tradução técnica. Na segunda parte é explicado o estágio curricular desenvolvido na empresa QuickSilver Translate, dividindo-se em projetos e áreas temáticas, sendo igualmente possível verificar na prática a reflexão proporcionada pela investigação teórica no relatório. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This report is the result of the curricular internship carried out in the master in Translation and will, therefore describe the developed tasks throughout this period. It also aims at revealing some research skills and to actively think about a topic which is part of translation studies. As such, the main topic of the report is translation strategies and its relation to technical texts. Strategies are a recurring topic in translation studies and they are considered of relevance within translator training, as well as in the daily practice carried out by translators in the labour market. The main objectives of this report are to go through the main theoretical proposals on strategies, to ponder about the meaning of technical text, to present the work carried out along three months of internship and to establish a relation between the approached theory and the consequent practice. The initial part of the report consists of a theoretical contextualisation, where terminological distinctions are established regarding strategies, procedures and method. Some of the most relevant categorisations in the field are also presented as well as the concepts of technical text and translation. The second part of the report focuses on the curricular internship developed at QuickSilver Translate and details the different projects and topic areas worked on. In this practical part, it is possible to verify the theoretical approach from the beginning. | pt_PT |
