Abstract(s)
O presente relatório respeita aos quatro meses de estágio realizados na Direção Geral do Ambiente, a qual encontra-se inserida no Ministério das Obras Públicas e Recursos Naturais da República Democrática de São Tomé e Príncipe. A metodologia de trabalho passou por um contacto regular e frequente com os técnicos da citada direção, para tomar parte ativa nas atividades ligadas a EA e responder inteiramente às necessidades de ambas as partes.
Analisando os resultados obtidos com a realização deste estágio foi-nos permitido verificar que a DGA vem desenvolvendo atividades ambientais promovidas na preservação do ambiente e no desenvolvimento mais sustentável nos contextos em que atua.
Verificamos ainda que para a prática da EA, deve-se passar por algumas fases, que são: sensibilização, mobilização, informação, ação e avaliação. Devemos desenvolver nas pessoas a consciência dos problemas ambientais e estimulá-las a tentar buscar soluções para estes problemas. Não é um processo fácil e nem rápido, mas com um pouco de boa vontade, tanto dos educadores como da população em geral, a EA pode trazer bons resultados.
Apesar das diferenças verificadas foi com enorme satisfação que verificamos a importância do trabalho desenvolvido pela DGA na área da EA e na promoção de um futuro que desejamos mais saudável e sustentável.
O relatório inclui, ainda, recomendações para futuros estágios que julgamos necessárias e pertinentes para a valorização do trabalho desenvolvido.
This final report is in respect of the four months of training conducted in the General for Environment Directorate belongs to Public Works and Natural Resources Minister. The methodology was based on regular and frequent contacts with the technicians of the Environment Directorate, while establishing, however, a close relationship with the technicians in the environmental activities in order to respond fully to the needs of both parts. By examining the results obtained from the training we verified that the General for Environment Directorate has developed environmental activities fostered on the preservation of the environment and in a more sustainable development of the settings where they operate. We also verified that to promote the practice of Environmental Education must be passing to the several phases which are: sensitization, mobilization, information, action and evaluation. We must develop in the people the conscience of environmental problems and look for the solutions of these kinds of problems. It is not an easy and fast process, but with a little of willingness, the part of educators and population the Environmental Education can bring on good results. Despite the differences, it was with great pleasure that we realized the importance of the work developed by the General for Environment Directorate in the field of Environmental Education, as well as in the promotion of a future that we all wish be more healthy and sustainable. This report also includes recommendations for future training which we regard as necessary and relevant for the appreciation of the developed work.
