Abstract(s)
A presente investigação pretende aferir os níveis de satisfação profissional dos Bombeiros a exercer funções no Corpo de Bombeiros Voluntários de Vinhais, essencialmente pela evidência científica que considera que a satisfação dos profissionais potencia também a satisfação dos utentes, a qualidade dos serviços prestados e a eficiente utilização dos recursos, numa ótica de custo-benefício, com os objetivos seguintes: Avaliar a satisfação profissional dos Bombeiros a exercer funções no Corpo de Bombeiros Voluntários de Vinhais; Verificar se as caraterísticas sociodemográficas e profissionais se relacionam com a satisfação profissional dos Bombeiros; Analisar os determinantes da satisfação e envolvimento dos Bombeiros.
A metodologia utilizada foi observacional, descritiva e transversal, de cariz quantitativo, com a aplicação de um questionário estruturado a uma amostra de 81 Bombeiros a exercer funções no Corpo de Bombeiros Voluntários de Vinhais, que preencheram na íntegra o instrumento de recolha de dados e aceitaram participar da investigação.
Os resultados obtidos indicaram que a satisfação profissional dos Bombeiros a exercer funções no Corpo de Bombeiros Voluntários de Vinhais apresenta níveis que variam entre satisfação alta e muito alta e quando analisados os resultados obtidos das hipóteses apresentadas, foram validadas parcialmente a 1, 2 e 3, apresentando algumas correlações estatísticas significativas nos valores médios das dimensões, já as hipóteses 4 e 5 foram validades integralmente, pois apresentam influência estatística significativa em todas as dimensões, quando relacionadas com o nível se satisfação.
As conclusões permitem inferir que as variáveis Recompensas Extrínsecas, Suporte do Supervisor, Recompensa Justa, Autonomia, Imagem Corporativa, Afinidade, Desenvolvimento do Colaborador e Condições Físicas de Trabalho são determinantes da Satisfação Profissional dos Bombeiros da Corporação de Vinhais e por sua vez a Satisfação Profissional do Bombeiro é antecedente da Lealdade do Colaborador, do Desempenho das Tarefas e do Desempenho Contextual. Nesta sequência a Corporação de Bombeiros de Vinhais para aumentar os níveis de satisfação dos seus profissionais deve fomentar o aumento das recompensas extrínsecas, da recompensa justa, da autonomia e da afinidade mantendo ou reforçando a imagem corporativa, o suporte do supervisor e as condições físicas de trabalho.
This research aims to assess the levels of job satisfaction of firefighters working in the Voluntary Fire Department of Vinhais, essentially by the scientific evidence that considers that the satisfaction of professionals also enhances the satisfaction of users, the quality of services provided and the efficient use of resources, in a cost-benefit perspective, with the following objectives: To evaluate the job satisfaction of the Firefighters working in the Voluntary Fire Department of Vinhais; Verify if the sociodemographic and professional characteristics are related to the job satisfaction of the Firefighters; Analyze the determinants of satisfaction and involvement of firefighters. The methodology used was observational, descriptive and cross-sectional, with the application of a structured questionnaire to a sample of 81 firefighters working in the Voluntary Fire Department of Vinhais, who fully completed the data collection instrument and accepted participate in the investigation. The results indicated that the job satisfaction of firefighters working in the Vinhais Voluntary Fire Department has levels ranging from high to very high satisfaction and when analyzed the results obtained from the hypotheses presented were partially validated at 1, 2 and 3, presenting some significant statistical correlations in the mean values of the dimensions, while hypotheses 4 and 5 were fully valid, as they present significant statistical influence in all dimensions, when related to the level of satisfaction. The conclusions allow us to infer that the variables Extrinsic Rewards, Supervisor Support, Fair Reward, Autonomy, Corporate Image, Affinity, Employee Development and Physical Working Conditions are determinants of the Job Satisfaction of the Vinhais Firemen and Job Satisfaction of Firefighter predates Employee Loyalty, Task Performance, and Contextual Performance. In this regard, the Vinhais Fire Corporation to increase the satisfaction levels of its professionals must foster increased extrinsic rewards, fair reward, autonomy and affinity by maintaining or reinforcing the corporate image, supervisor support and physical conditions of the company job.
