Event tourism has become increasingly relevant in recent years, contributing not only to the economic dynamism of destinations but also to the cultural valorization of local communities. This study focuses on the event “Bragança, Terra Natal e de Sonhos”, analyzing the sociodemographic profile of visitors, their motivations, expenditure patterns, and satisfaction levels, in order to assess the importance of the event for the city of Bragança. The research was based on a literature review and on the application of a questionnaire survey to participants, with results analysed through descriptive and inferential statistical methods. The findings reveal that the most relevant motivational factors are associated with social interaction and well-being, with overall satisfaction being high and consistent across different demographic groups. Although no statistically significant differences were found regarding gender, age, or professional status, results indicate that non-resident visitors are more likely to use local accommodation, while older participants tend to show higher expenditure levels. It is concluded that the event strengthens Bragança’s cultural and touristic appeal, with potential to both retain loyal audiences and attract new visitors. Suggestions collected from participants highlight the need to diversify programming and expand the offer, which may further consolidate the event as a key tourism product for the municipality.
