Representações sociais e intervenção socioeducativa em populações migrantes

| dc.description.abstract | Nos dias de hoje verificamos cada vez mais a coexistência de culturas e nacionalidades, fruto de movimentos migratórios, com repercussões para a vida económica, política e social de todos os países. As consequências para os países recetores verificam-se, por exemplo, nas alterações demográficas, no aumento da população, sobretudo em idade ativa, mas também no reconhecimento dos direitos e deveres de cidadania, para a edificação de uma sociedade mais inclusiva. Importa considerar as representações sociais que podem surgir perante a diversidade cultural, de identidades, hábitos e costumes. Esta investigação parte da questão problema “Como é que a intervenção socioeducativa dos técnicos influencia as representações sociais sobre a população migrante no seu processo de inclusão?”. Pretende perceber como decorre o processo de inclusão da população migrante, identificar representações sociais relativas à população migrante através dos discursos dos migrantes e dos técnicos, compreender como é realizada a intervenção socioeducativa e os seus efeitos na população migrante e analisar a forma como as representações sociais afetam a população migrante no seu processo de inclusão. A metodologia adotada nesta investigação é de natureza qualitativa, recorrendo à análise de conteúdo dos dados recolhidos através de inquérito por questionário e de entrevistas semiestruturadas. O grupo de treze participantes é constituído por sete técnicos e seis migrantes. Os resultados obtidos expressam que os preconceitos e mitos associados aos migrantes são provenientes essencialmente da falta de informação. A intervenção é realizada para promover a interação com outras culturas e com pessoas que não sejam da mesma nacionalidade, sendo fundamental o respeito e o conhecimento da cultura do outro. Os migrantes consideram o contexto da intervenção como um espaço seguro, uma zona de apoio, quer para resolver problemas e procurar ajuda, quer para sentirem o conforto de alguém que os acompanha. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Nowadays, as the result of migratory movements, we see more and more the coexistence of cultures and nationalities, with repercussions for the economic, political and social life of all countries. The consequences for recipient countries can be seen, for example, in demographic changes, in the increase in population, especially in working age, but also in the recognition of citizenship rights and duties, in order to build a more inclusive society. It is important to consider the social representations that can arise in the face of cultural diversity, identities, habits and customs. This investigation starts from the problem question “How does the socio-educational intervention of technicians influence the social representations of the migrant population in their inclusion process?”. It intends to understand how the process of inclusion of the migrant population takes place, identify social representations related to the migrant population through the speeches of migrants and technicians, understand how socio-educational intervention is carried out and its effects on the migrant population and analyze the way in which social representations affect the migrant population in their inclusion process. The methodology adopted in this investigation is qualitative in nature, using content analysis of data collected through a questionnaire survey and semi-structured interviews. The group of thirteen participants is made of seven technicians and six migrants. The results obtained express that prejudices and myths associated with migrants are essentially due to lack of information. The intervention is carried out to promote interaction with other cultures and with people who are not of the same nationality, based on the respect and knowledge of the other's culture. Migrants considered he context of the intervention as a safe space, a support zone, either to solve problems and seek help, or to feel the comfort of someone accompanying them. | pt_PT |
