Abstract(s)
O presente relatório pretende enquadrar e justificar a certificação do referencial
This report aims to frame and justify the certification of a national benchmark for sustainability certification in the wine sector, of a control and certification company, from the execution of the self-assessment and respective domains, intervention areas and indicators, with the creation of forms for the execution of audits. For a long time, it was believed that sustainability would be solely related to the environment, according to that principle, companies started to foster preservation projects, reforestation, threatened species protection, among other actions that, as valid as they are, do not represent a more ample approach to sustained development. Currently, the "sustained development" term translates as an "almost mandatory" process in companies' operations giving society new worries as it seeks to fulfil its preferences. Processes associated with vineyard/wine production have been gaining importance by society regarding product quality under a environmental, economical, social and cultural standpoint. Wine sector has been reconsidering and changing it´s processes to a sustainable production, considering all production phases, from growing, winemaking, bottling, packaging even to product labelling. Companies chose to implement suitable specific norms to what current society looks for and demands, a reality well different from the past, with a view to integrate an increasingly competitive and demanding market. The national benchmark helped companies related to vineyard activities to implement a series of rules and procedures that allowed market demand to be met.
