Abstract(s)
Lisboa.
The translation field accompanies the ongoing evolution of the world and computer-assisted translation emerges as an important tool to help translators perform their job, and elevate quality to its best. This report displays the progression of the curricular internship, carried out within the framework of the Translation Master that was carried out at Eurologos, a translation company located in Lisbon. At first, the topic of quality assurance, quality control and quality assessment is addressed, explaining what quality is and how it is assessed, as well as the legislation that exists to regulate it. Then, it is shown how quality control in translation is performed through the electronic tools that help the translator. I focused on the tool used during the internship, memoQ. In the second part of the report, the trajectory I made during the curricular internship will be described, detailing all the projects that were performed, with special emphasis on some more specific ones, which will be properly explained, as well as the challenges encountered and what I have done to respond to them. Finally, I will critically reflect on the internship and provide some concluding remarks regarding the work which is now presented.
