Abstract(s)

The purpose of this study is to analyse the Cape Verdean education system, analyse ICT in Cape Verdean education, examine the main educational resources available online, verify the solutions proposed by the DNE and implemented at Manuel Lopes Secondary School (ESML), and analyse the impact of the use of RED provided by the DNE at ESML. The research combines qualitative and quantitative methods, using Google Forms to collect data from teachers at Manuel Lopes Secondary School (ESML), as well as interviews with representatives from the DNE and the school administration. The results point to the need for more robust teacher training, aligned with the educational system, with greater support in the choice of Digital Educational Resources (DER), better access to tools and the internet, as well as more effective government incentives.
