dc.description.abstractA análise dos processos migratórios de mulheres tem aumentado nos últimos anos. As mudanças nos fluxos migratórios e o crescente interesse da comunidade científica na interpretação e compreensão destes fenómenos sob a lente de género, tem contribuído para dar visibilidade às vivências das mulheres migrantes e das suas famílias. E, simultaneamente, para identificar a necessidade de uma abordagem interseccional na leitura da situação destas mulheres. Este artigo apresenta o estudo de caso de uma mulher cabo-verdiana imigrante em Portugal e tem como objetivo compreender a aplicação das políticas públicas no âmbito do apoio à inclusão. A recolha de dados ocorreu no âmbito do Projeto VIW- Voices of Immigrant Women . Para alcançar este objetivo procurou-se fazer uma abordagem holística do seu percurso migratório. Na recolha de dados recorreu-se à entrevista semiestruturada, sendo as respostas sujeitas a análise de conteúdo. De acordo com o discurso desta mulher imigrante destaca-se como principal objetivo do seu projeto migratório garantir aos filhos oportunidades educativas para prosseguimento de estudos, o que, na sua opinião, lhe proporcionará uma vida melhor. Destacam-se dois resultados marcantes: o facto de ter tido sempre trabalho, ainda que durante a sua trajetória profissional tenha mudado de emprego; e o percurso escolar de sucesso dos seus sete filhos. Conclui-se que apesar de alguns constrangimentos encontrados ao longo do percurso, a superação e a resiliência caraterizam este caso como uma história de sucesso e de inclusão bem-sucedida.pt_PT
dc.description.abstractThe analysis of women's migratory processes has increased in recent years. The changes in migratory flows and the growing interest of the scientific community in interpreting and understanding these phenomena from a gender perspective have contributed to give visibility to the experiences of migrant women and their families. And, simultaneously, to identify the need for an intersectional approach in reading interpreting the situation of these women. This article presents the case study of a Cape Verdean immigrant woman in Portugal and aims to understand the application of public policies in the field of inclusion support. Data collection took place within the scope of the VIW-Voices of Immigrant Women Project. To achieve this objective, we attempted to take a holistic approach to their migratory journey. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were used and the answers were subjected to content analysis. According to the speech of this immigrant woman, the main objective of her migratory project is to guarantee her children educational opportunities to continue their studies, which, in her opinion, will provide her with a better life. Two striking results stand out: the fact that she has always had a job, even though during her professional career she has changed jobs; and the successful school career of her seven children. We conclude that despite some constraints encountered along the way, overcoming and resilience are evidenced and characterise this case as a success story of successful inclusion.pt_PT
