Abstract(s)
A revisão é uma atividade que nasceu da necessidade de garantir que
a tarefa de tradução tem qualidade. Esta função desenvolveu-se pela
necessidade de conferir qualidade a esta profissão tão antiga. É uma
atividade que também incita o tradutor a desenvolver um espírito
crítico em relação aos seus textos e não os entregar ao cliente com
qualidade reduzida. Apesar disso, em Portugal, ainda é muito limitada
a percentagem de cursos que incluem uma unidade curricular sobre
revisão e edição na formação dos seus futuros tradutores.
Por essa razão, este relatório de estágio, realizado no âmbito do
Mestrado de Tradução, é uma forma de analisar o meu percurso
durante o estágio na Editora Estratégias Criativas fazendo uma ligação
com os conhecimentos teóricos adquiridos no mestrado e a forma como
eles se refletiram na prática.
Este relatório tem como base a revisão e desenvolve e discute aspetos
como as tarefas e o trabalho do revisor e do editor e os tipos, graus,
parâmetros e critérios da revisão. Esta reflexão contribui para
confirmar que é necessário incluir a revisão desde o início da formação
dos tradutores.
Revision is an activity that sprung from the need to ensure that the task of translation is of high quality. This function developed out of the need to add quality to this age-old profession. It is also an activity that encourages translators to develop critical thinking towards their texts and not deliver them to the client with reduced quality. Despite this, the percentage of degrees in Portugal that include a course in revision and editing in the training of their future translators is still very limited. For this reason, this internship report, carried out as part of the Master's Degree in Translation, is a way of analysing my journey during my internship at Editora Estratégias Criativas, making a connection with the theoretical knowledge acquired in the master's degree and how it was reflected in practice. This report is based on revision and develops and discusses aspects such as the tasks and work of the reviser and editor and the types, degrees, parameters and criteria of revision.
