| dc.description.abstract | O presente estudo, cujo tema é A intervenção socioeducativa na promoção da resiliência na terceira idade- Fatores de risco e de proteção, tem como propósito analisar as perceções de técnicos e idosos, partindo da questão problema que orienta a investigação: como é que a intervenção socioeducativa promove a resiliência na terceira idade? Perante esta questão definimos os seguintes objetivos: conhecer a perceção dos idosos acerca da influência dos fatores de risco e de proteção ao longo da sua vida; compreender a perceção dos idosos acerca da influência dos fatores de risco e de proteção no âmbito específico da intervenção de caráter socioeducativo quando frequentam a Universidade Sénior (US) e o Centro de Dia (CD); analisar a perceção dos técnicos sobre os efeitos da intervenção socioeducativa na promoção da resiliência na terceira idade. O estudo é de natureza qualitativa, utilizando a entrevista semiestruturada como instrumento de recolha de dados que é dirigida a dezassete participantes. O grupo de participantes é constituído por cinco técnicos/voluntários (da US e do CD) e doze idosos (da US e do CD). Foram criados dois guiões específicos, respetivamente para os idosos e para os técnicos. Os resultados indicam-nos que os principais fatores de risco dizem respeito ao afastamento ou perda de entes queridos e a entrada na reforma e consequentemente a mudança de papéis sociais. Relativamente aos fatores de proteção, a rede de apoio família constitui o principal fator, seguindo-se da rede amigos/vizinhos e as características pessoais. Existem ainda outros fatores que se revelam protetores, nomeadamente, as emoções positivas, a preocupação em manter as rotinas/hábitos, entre outros. Quanto à intervenção socioeducativa os idosos indicam que esta promove a resiliência, pois consideram que a intervenção potenciou melhorias ao nível físico, cognitivo, emocional e das relações sociais. Os técnicos afirmam que a intervenção socioeducativa promove efeitos positivos na resiliência. Segundo a sua perceção, o desenvolvimento ou manutenção da autonomia e da autoeficácia, o desenvolvimento ou manutenção das capacidades, a promoção da integração social, das relações sociais e familiares são os principais efeitos positivos da intervenção, que por sua vez promovem a resiliência. Os técnicos referem que a intervenção ao nível do desenvolvimento das potencialidades (por exemplo, a aprendizagem e a valorização pessoal) e a intervenção ao nível da superação das dificuldades (por exemplo, a manutenção ou melhoria das capacidades físicas e cognitivas) efetuadas promovem a resiliência no processo de envelhecimento. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This study, whose main theme is The socio-educational intervention in the promotion of resilience in old age – risk and protection factos, has the purpose of analyzing the perceptions of professional and old people, having as a starting point the questions that guides the investigation: how does socio-educational intervention promote resilience in old people? Having this question in mind we defined the following goals: to know the perception of old people about the influence of the risk and protection factors all along their lives; to understand the perception of old people about the influence of the risk and protection factors in the more specific field of the socio-educational intervention when they attend Senior University (SU) and Day Center (DC); to analyze the perception of technicians about the effects of socio-educational intervention in the promotion of resilience in old age. The study is qualitive, using a semi structured interview to seventeen participants as a means of collecting data. The group of participants is made up of five professional/ volunteers (from the SU and DC) and twelve seniors (from the SU and DC). Two specific models were created, one for the old people another for the technicians. The results show us that the main risk factors relate to withdrawal or loss of loved ones and entry into retirement and consequently the change of social roles. Regarding protection factors, the family support network is the main factor, followed by the friends/ neighbors network as well as their personal characteristics. There are still other factors which prove themselves protective, namely positive emoticons, the concern of keeping the routines/habits, among others. In what socio-educational intervention is concerned, the elderly indicate that this promotes resilience, they consider that the intervention has improvement in their lives regarding the development or maintenance of their autonomy and aelf-efficiency, the development or maintenance of their capacities, the promotion of social integration, of social and family relations which are the main positive effects of the intervention. Technicians refer that the intervention regarding the development of potentialities (for instance, learning and personal appreciation) and the intervention regarding overcoming difficulties (for instance, keeping or improving physical and cognitive capacities) promote resilience in the processo f growing old. | pt_PT |
