O empreendedorismo, apesar de não ser um novo conceito, tornou-se cada vez mais importante para o desenvolvimento de uma nação. A sua relevância é indiscutível, tanto numa perspetiva macro (ao olharmos para um país, região ou cidade) como micro (por exemplo, ao nível da criação do próprio emprego). Efetivamente, é uma atividade que gera riqueza, estimula a mudança e promove um ciclo novo na economia que permite a criação de postos de trabalho que se destinam a ser cada vez mais qualificados, trazendo para as cidades e regiões uma nova vida e, muitas vezes, a possibilidade de subsistência, que de outra forma não seria possível. Assim, é importante a aposta numa cultura empreendedora e inovadora. Este trabalho descreve o desenvolvimento de um plano de negócios, que teve como objetivo o estudo da viabilidade de implementação de uma fábrica de pastelaria e panificação da empresa J.M., Fábrica de Pastelaria, Panificação e Bolacheira, Lda., em Cabo Verde, ilha de Santiago. Depois de um intervalo de aproximadamente doze anos sem laborar, a J.M., pretende atualmente investir na criação e inovação/melhoramento dos seus produtos e reiniciar a atividade. De acordo com o estudo de mercado realizado, pode constatar-se que a empresa, mesmo estando sem atividade há algum tempo, é aceite pela comunidade, pelas casas comerciais e ainda mantém contatos com diferentes parceiros. De acordo com o estudo realizado, o projeto apresenta rentabilidade, mesmo considerando valores conservadores para a base de cálculo, permitindo à empresa fazer face a todos os seus compromissos financeiros, e obter um lucro satisfatório, elevadas taxas de crescimento e excelentes perspetivas de crescimento a longo prazo, que lhe irão permitir crescer de forma sustentável.
Entrepreneurship, although not a new concept, has become an increasingly important for the development of a nation. Its relevance is indisputable, both in a macro perspective (when looking at a country, region or city) and micro (e.g., at the level of job creation). Effectively, it is an activity that generates wealth, stimulates change and promotes a new cycle in the economy that allows the creation of jobs that are intended to be increasingly qualified, bringing to cities and regions a new life and often the possibility of subsistence, which would otherwise not be possible. Thus, it is important to invest in an entrepreneurial and innovative culture. This paper describes the development of a business plan, which aimed to study the feasibility of implementation of a pastry and baker factory from J.M., Fábrica de Pastelaria, Panificação e Bolacheira, Lda., in Cape Verde, Santiago Island. After a period of approximately twelve years without working, J.M., currently intends to invest in the creation and innovation/improvement of its products and to restart the activity. According to the market study carried out, the company, even though it has been without activity for some time, it is accepted by the community, by the commercial houses and still maintains contacts with different partners. According to the study conducted, the project presents profitability, even considering conservative values for the calculation base, allowing the company to meet all its financial commitments, and make a satisfactory profit, high growth rates and excellent long-term growth prospects, which will enable it to grow sustainably.
