This report was prepared within the scope of the curricular unit “Dissertation/Project Work/Internship”, integrated in the Master’s Degree in Agroecology at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, and results from the internship carried out at the agricultural farm Casal dos Ederas, located in Romariz. The main objective of this work was to analyse the sustainability of the farm under both conventional and organic production systems, gathering and systematising the experiences and knowledge acquired throughout the internship period. In addition to the practical component related to farming activities, the report presents a technical, economic and financial assessment of the farm, aiming to evaluate its viability and sustainability. Within the framework of a new investment project, an economic and financial feasibility study was conducted for the period from 2020 and the following 15 years. This study estimated the required investments, their depreciation over time, and the financing structure, including own capital, borrowed capital and non-repayable incentives. During the internship, the farm’s agricultural and livestock production was analysed by assessing productivity and the economic value of the main activities, as well as the subsidies and financial support received. The main costs associated with the diferente activities were also identified and calculated. Finally, the project’s feasibility was evaluated using key financial indicators, such as profitability, the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and the Net Present Value (NPV), allowing an assessment of the farm’s sustainability over the analysed period.
