Abstract(s)
Although Streptococcus mutans has been responsible for decades as
the etiological agent of dental caries, recent evidence indicates a
high prevalence for S. mutans in dental biofilms where Candida albicans
resides; which suggests that the interaction between these two
species may mediate cariogenic development [1].
