The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry, published in New York in 1943, has left a deep-seated imprint on popular culture, particularly in the domain of films and other artistic manifestations, such as paintings, ballet, sculpture and theatre. Relevant for both children and adults, its timeless influence inspired creativity in various art forms, enriching the collective cultural landscape for generations to come. Its inventiveness and iconic input can still be seen in numerous cinematic adaptations and in the myriad of paintings that pay homage, and keep the work alive, to its profound philosophical insights. This paper intends to explore the impact of The Little Prince on a sample of artistic expressions, and how its enduring values, such as love and the nature of human existence, resonated across different cultures. We will hence showcase how the many artists worldwide captured and celebrated the essence of the novella, transferring its universal values and philosophical depth to the realm of popular culture, visible in: the many film sequels, The Little Prince Museum in Japan, the countless sculptures worldwide (Terrassa; Girona, Spain; Abakan, Russia), museum exhibitions, or anime (The adventures of The Little Prince), just to name a few.pt_PT
