Abstract(s)
O presente estudo visa analisar a dinâmica de bosques de azinheira (Quercus rotundifolia) à escala regional, para todo o distrito de Bragança, e à escala local, para freguesia de França, localizada no nordeste transmontano, parte setentrio-nal do concelho de Bragança. O trabalho consistiu em comparar com auxílio de métricas da paisagem, a distribuição e estrutura espacial dos azinhais ao longo do tempo com base em informação espacial obtida a partir de fontes diversas, como imagem de satélite e fotografia aérea, para descrever modificações e com-preender as alterações na paisagem. As questões de investigação abordadas neste trabalho foram: (i) Qual tem sido a dinâmica temporal e espacial dos bos-ques de azinheira na região? (ii) Essa dinâmica obedece a algum padrão espa-cial? e (iii) Que fatores explicam esse padrão? Em relação à análise à escala da região, notou-se uma variação pouco significa-tiva nas áreas de azinhal, o que se refletiu também ao nível da sua estrutura na paisagem. À escala local observaram-se grandes mudanças, mostrando um comportamento altamente dinâmico em direção do aumento da área ocupada e redução da complexidade geométrica, sem apresentar sinais de estabilização em um curto espaço de tempo.
This study aims to analyze the dynamics of holm oak woodlands (Quercus rotun-difolia) at the regional level, district of Bragança, and at the local level, França parish, located in the northeast of Portugal, northern part of the municipality of Bragança. The work consists of comparing, based on landscape metrics, the spa-tial distribution and pattern over time using spatial information from different sources, namely satellite imagery and aerial photographs to describe changes and the distribution of the holm oak patches and to understand landscape changes. The research questions to be addressed were: (i) What has been the temporal and spatial dynamics of holm oak woodlands in the region? (ii) Does this dynamic follow any spatial pattern? And (iii) What factors explain this pattern? At the regional scale there was a very slight variation in the areas of holm oak woodlands that were responsible also for stability of the landscape pattern over time. At the local scale there were significant changes, showing a highly dynamic behavior towards the increase of the area of woodlands and reduction of their geometric complexity, not seeming to stabilize in a brief time.
