Abstract(s)
O presente Relatório Final, desenvolvido no âmbito da unidade curricular PES, integrada no Mestrado em Ensino da Educação Visual e Tecnológica no Ensino Básico, é constituído por duas partes distintas e tem como objetivo demonstrar a papel da Cultura Visual na disciplina de EV, no 3º CEB.
Na primeira parte, todas as atividades desenvolvidas na prática pedagógica, nas disciplinas EEP, no 1º Ciclo; ET e EV, ambas nos 2º e 3º Ciclos, são contextualizadas, descritas, explicadas e objeto de uma reflexão crítica.
A segunda parte, debruçada sobre a importância da Cultura Visual em EV, no 3º CEB, parte da revisão bibliográfica e de pressupostos de autores. A metodologia empregue neste estudo é mista (qualitativa e quantitativa), envolve 30 elementos de uma turma de 9º ano e pretende percecionar o papel da escola e da família no desenvolvimento da Cultura Visual, enquanto ferramenta para fomentar o alcance da “Literacia em Artes”, nos alunos. A nível geral, os resultados expressam a necessidade da Cultura Visual ser desenvolvida nas escolas e nos alunos, dado que ela é uma ferramenta favorável à promoção da imaginação e da criatividade, enfatizando o facto da disciplina de EV completar-se com o aprofundamento da mesma.
This Final Report, which was developed during the course PES, integrated in the Masters in Teaching of Visual and Technological Education in the Basic Education, is divided in two main parts. The report aims at demonstrating the role of the Visual Culture in the subject EV in the 3rd CEB. In the first part, all activities developed in the pedagogical practice (EEP in the 1st Cycle; ET and EV both in 2nd and 3rd Cycle) are contextualised, described, explained and reflected upon. The second part, in which the focus is on the importance of the Visual Culture in EV in the 3rd Cycle, is based on a revision of the existing literature and the assumptions of some authors. The methodology used in this study is mixed (qualitative and quantitative). The study uses a group of 30 subjects of a 9th grade class and aims at understanding the role of the school and the family in the development of the Visual Culture as a tool to broaden the pupils’ “Literacy in the Arts”. Generally speaking, the results show the necessity of developing the Visual Culture in schools and students, as this Culture is a good aid in the development of the imagination and creativity, emphasising the fact that the subject of EV is complemented by its development.
