O visitante de uma região explora o território, procura experiências através do contacto com os diversos recursos e atrações locais, e a prática de percursos pedestres pode contribuir para a experiência total vivenciada.
Com o presente trabalho pretende-se analisar a experiência turística dos praticantes de percursos pedestres da empresa de animação turística Naturthoughts. Para dar resposta ao objetivo principal, formularam-se cinco objetivos específicos: i) identificar o perfil do praticante de percursos pedestres; ii) avaliar o grau de satisfação com a prática da atividade; iii) avaliar o grau de satisfação com os serviços prestados pela empresa em estudo; iv) analisar a intenção comportamental do praticante face à experiência; v) identificar percursos pedestres alternativos. Assim, com o recurso à base de dados dos clientes da empresa, procedeu-se à aplicação de um inquérito por questionário via on-line. O instrumento de recolha de dados foi aplicado durante o período de julho a agosto de 2017. Obtiveram-se 172 questionários válidos para o estudo.
Para analisar os resultados utilizaram-se a análise descritiva exploratória e a análise fatorial exploratória. Os resultados obtidos permitiram concluir que o ‘ambiente agradável do percurso’ e o ‘ambiente atrativo do percurso’ são os fatores que os praticantes de percursos pedestres mais valorizaram. Quanto ao grau de satisfação com os serviços prestados pela Naturthoughts, o ‘Profissionalismo do(s) técnico(s)’, a ‘Relação técnico-praticante’ e a ‘Segurança na prática do percurso’ registaram os níveis de satisfação mais elevados. Da análise fatorial resultaram quatro fatores, a saber: i) ‘Ambiente e Segurança’ que contribui com 27,26% para a estrutura dos dados; ii) ‘Acessibilidade’ que explica 16,81% da variância total; iii) ‘Conforto’ com 13,03% de variabilidade; iv) ‘Viabilidade e Proximidade’ com uma variância explicada de 12,47%. Pode dizer-se que a experiência do praticante de percursos pedestres da empresa Naturthoughts foi no geral positiva, com intenções de recomendar e de praticar outros percursos.

The present work analyses the tourist experience of pedestrians of the tourist animation company Naturthoughts. To answer the main objective, five specific objectives were formulated: i) to identify the pedestrian profile; ii) evaluate the level of satisfaction with the practice of the activity; iii) to evaluate the level of satisfaction with the services provided by the company under study; iv) analyse the behavioural intention of the practitioner in relation to the experience; v) to identify alternative walking paths. Thus, with the use of the database of the company's clients, a survey was carried out via online. The data collection instrument was applied during the period from July to August 2017. It was obtained 172 valid questionnaires for the study. To analyse the data, it was used the exploratory descriptive analysis and exploratory factorial analysis. The results obtained allowed to conclude that the 'pleasant environment of the route' and the 'attractive environment of the route' are the factors that pedestrians most value. Regarding the level of satisfaction with the services provided by Naturthoughts, the 'Professionalism of the technician', the 'Technical-practitioner relationship' and the 'Safety in the practice of the route' recorded the highest levels. With the factor analysis, it was performed four factors: i) 'Environment and Security', which contributes with 27.26% to the data structure; ii) 'Accessibility', which explains 16.81% of the total variance; (iii) 'Comfort' with 13.03% of variability; iv) 'Viability and Proximity' with an explained variance of 12.47%. The experience of the pedestrian walker of the company Naturthoughts was generally positive, with intentions to recommend and to practice other routes.
