Abstract(s)
The present report portrays the project developed within the scope of the master thesis in Informatics. The purpose of the project was to develop an application within the SAP ERP system capable of analyzing OSS Notes in a way that not only transforms an extremely time-consuming process into an automated one but also ensures no failures occur in the manual identification of prerequisites and implementation order. The goal of this project is to assist not only SAP consultants but also any programmer or end user in accurately estimating the implementation of notes, reducing the analysis time, which, when done incorrectly, can lead to multiple inconsistencies in the systems. The workplan was divided into four phases. In the initial phase, a study of the technologies to be used was conducted to enable their integration into the project. The second phase involved the development of the application’s architecture through modeling and creating the mockups. As for the third phase, it encompassed the development of the solution, starting with the implementation of the prototype to download SAP Notes, moving on to the SAP application development and concluding with the creation of a transactional application in Fiori. Finally, the last phase consisted of testing and validating the solution by comparing the analysis of OSS Notes using two different methodologies. The manual methodology, used on a daily basis by consultants, programmers and end users, and the automated methodology developed.
