Abstract(s)
A preocupação com o desenvolvimento sustentável, junto com o aprimoramento de
ações de gestão ambiental, vem ganhando um espaço crescente nas Instituições de
Ensino Superior. Isto tem-se revelado a partir da abordagem educacional passada aos
estudantes das Instituições de Ensino Superior sobre desenvolvimento sustentável a
partir dos exemplos práticos incorporados nas operações dos campi. O objetivo desse
estudo foi analisar a estrutura, o comportamento e os processos que são realizados
nos seis dormitórios acadêmicos do Instituto Politécnico de Bragança, sendo eles o
dormitório Verde, Castanho, Gulbeinkian, Domus Feminina, Domus Masculina e
Domus Visitante, quanto ao impacto ambiental gerado por cada uma. Para tal análise,
essa dissertação aborda temas como desenvolvimento sustentável, responsabilidade
socioambiental, construções verdes e as NP EN ISO 14001:2015 e NP EN ISO
19011:2012. Esses temas serviram como base para a realização da metodologia, que
se constituiu a partir da realização de auditorias ambientais em cada uma das
residências, com visita às instalações e registro fotográfico. A partir dos dados
coletados nessas auditorias, foi feito um relatório com plano de ação constando as
mudanças cabíveis para melhor gestão ambiental desses locais. Vale realçar que
todos os documentos, como a lista de verificação usada na auditoria e o relatório final,
foram de própria elaboração. Para analisar a perspectiva vivida pelos moradores, foi
aplicado um inquérito com questões de diversas áreas, tais como consumo de água,
energia, gás, conforto térmico, hábitos de consumo e mobilidade. Essas questões
foram elaboradas para entender melhor as carências e pontos de melhoria tanto de
educação ambiental como de adequação das instalações. Para análise dos resultados
obtidos a partir desses inquéritos foi utilizado o software IBM SPSS.
No capítulo “Propostas” são identificados métodos para a correção das não
conformidades encontradas nas auditorias bem como de intervenção nas áreas com
maior carência identificadas nos inquéritos preenchidos pelos moradores. Dentre
estas, é proposta a implantação de contentores para segregação de resíduos tanto
nos ambientes comuns quanto nos quartos, além de propostas de educação ambiental
para moradores e funcionários, buscando fazer com que um grande volume dos
resíduos gerados nas residências sejam segregados de forma correta e tenham como
destino final os ecopontos municipais e/ou outros sistemas de reciclagem.
The concern with sustainable development along with the improvement of environmental management actions has been gaining an increasing space in Higher Education Institutions. This has been revealed from the educational approach given to students at Higher Education Institutions on sustainable development from the practical examples incorporated in campus operations. The aim of this study was to analyze the structure, behavior and processes that are carried out in the six academic dormitories of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança: Green, Brown, Gulbeinkian, Domus for Males, Domus for Females and Domus for visitors, regarding the impact generated by each one. For this analysis, this dissertation addresses topics such as sustainable development, environmentally responsible behavior, green buildings and the standards NP EN ISO 14001: 2015 and NP EN ISO 19011: 2012. These themes served as a basis for the development of the methodology, which was constituted by carrying out environmental audits in each of the residences, with visits to the facilities and photographic records. Based on the data collected in these audits, a report was made along with an action plan containing measures for the improvement of the environmental management. It is worth noting that all the documents, such as the checklist used in the audit and the final report, were elaborated. To analyze the perspective experienced by residents, a survey was applied with questions from different topics, such as water, energy, gas, thermal comfort, consumption habits and mobility. These questions were designed to better understand points for improvement in both environmental education and facilities adaptation. To analyze the results obtained from these surveys, the IBM SPSS software was used. In the “Proposals” chapter, methods are identified to fix the non-conformities found in the audits, as well as the areas identified in the surveys completed by residents. Among these proposals, are the implementation of containers for segregation of waste is proposed for both common areas and rooms and a proposal for environmental aweraness raising for residents and employees, seeking the reduction in waste generation and segregation.
