| dc.description.abstract | A doença mental é caracterizada por um conjunto de alterações bio-pisco-sociais que afeta 20% da população mundial. Em inúmeras situações o diagnóstico é grave, com um desenvolvimento crónico, afetando o indivíduo e o seu grupo familiar. Assim o presente estudo tem como objetivo, avaliar a perceção que a família tem sobre os conceitos de doença mental, instituições psiquiátricas, a sua família, eu, sociedade, estigma da doença mental, exclusão social do doente mental e exercício de cidadania. Para tal desenhou-se um estudo observacional descritivo de carácter transversal, tendo-se aplicado um questionário a uma amostra de 50 familiares, que recorrem ao Centro Hospitalar do Nordeste. Os familiares e o membro da família, com diagnóstico de doença mental são maioritariamente do género feminino, com habilitações literárias ao nível do 1ºciclo, com uma média de idades entre 45.74 e 55.12 anos respetivamente. Em relação aos resultados da escala de diferencial semântico, obteve-se os seguintes resultados: perceção negativa face ao conceito de doença mental (48.48%) e em relação ao conceito exercício de cidadania (63.47%) e perceção positiva relativamente aos conceitos da minha família (53.04%) eu, (57.04) sociedade, (53.88%) estigma da doença mental, (51%) e exclusão social do doente mental (52,29%). | por |
| dc.description.abstract | Mental illness is characterized by a set of biopsicossocial changes that affects 20 % of the world population. In many cases the diagnosis is severe with a chronic development, affecting the individual as well as the family group. The present study aims to evaluate the perception that the family has on the concepts of mental illness, psychiatric institutions, their family, me, society, stigma of mental illness, social exclusion of the mentally ill and the exercise of citizenship. Drawn up for such an observational descriptive transversal, having applied a questionnaire to a sample of 50 families, who use the Northeast Center Hospital. The relatives and family member diagnosed with mental illness are mostly feminine gender, educational level with the 1st. cycle with an average age of 45.74 and 55.12 years respectively. Regarding the results of the semantic differential scale, we obtained the following results: negative perception against the concept of mental illness (48.48 %) and in relation to the concept of citizenship exercise (63.47 %) and positive perception to the terms of my family, (53.04 %) I, (57.04) company, (53.88 %) stigma of mental illness, (51 %) and social exclusion of the mentally ill (52.29 %). | por |
