Abstract(s)
pessoas. A Reeducação Postural Global (RPG) promove o alongamento das cadeias
musculares encurtadas, a descompressão muscular e articular, reequilibrando um
determinado segmento corporal com o restante corpo. Objetivo: Consolidar a evidência
Context: Pain in the cervical spine is increasingly common in the general population. The most common symptoms are pain and stiffness in the neck region, which may or may not radiate to the arms and shoulders, thus decreasing the quality of life. The Global Postural Reeducation (GPR) promotes the stretching of shortened muscle chains, muscle and joint decompression, rebalancing a certain body segment with the rest of the body. Aim: To consolidate the evidence on the efficiency of postural reeducation programs on neck pain. Methods: A systematic review was carried out based on PRISMA guidelines in the Pubmed and Google Scholar databases, using articles published in the last 30 years, written in Portuguese or English. The methodological quality of the selected articles was assessed by the PEDro scale. Results: The search on different databases allowed the identification of 802 articles, which after removal of duplicate articles and irrelevant articles, 45 remained for full reading, where 7 were left for inclusion in this systematic review. The GPR method was more effective in the analyzed conditions, while others show results similar to segmental elongations. Benefits of GPR were observed in terms of muscle strength gain, pain reduction, improved flexibility and what translates to better quality of life. The PEDro scale ranged between 7 and 8. Conclusion: GPR is an effective method in the treatment of neck pain, as it achieves positive results in pain reduction, joint range of motion and better quality of life. Conclusion: GPR is an effective method in the treatment of neck pain, as it achieves positive results in pain reduction, joint range of motion and better quality of life. The lack of studies on the impact on the quality of life of young adults was identified, on the correlation between cervical morphology, pain, functionality and amplitude in individuals with neck pain, or on the performance of meta-analyses on the subject.
