Abstract(s)
O presente relatório visa descrever as atividades realizadas ao longo da intervenção de
trabalho de projeto, para obtenção do grau de Mestre em Exercício e Saúde, realizado no
ginásio Brifitness em Bragança. As metas do trabalho de projeto consistiram: avaliar a
composição corporal dos praticantes de musculação; realizar avaliações do estado
nutricional de cada praticante; delinear um plano alimentar para cada um de acordo com
os seus gostos e necessidades, com vista ao ganho de massa muscular; avaliar o efeito da
intervenção nutricional em associação com a prática de musculação.
As consultas de nutrição forneceram orientação nutricional adaptada e direcionada às
necessidades do cliente. Desta forma, foram realizadas 13 consultas no total (8 primeiras
a 8 clientes e 5 subsequentes a 5 indivíduos que tinham participado também nas consultas
iniciais). Verificou-se que houve 1 cliente do sexo feminino e outro do sexo masculino
que diminuíram ligeiramente a massa corporal e a percentagem de massa gorda, enquanto
que 1 cliente do sexo masculino aumentou ligeiramente a massa corporal e a massa
magra. Apenas 1 cliente do sexo masculino manteve a massa corporal e aumentou a massa
magra e um outro cliente aumentou a massa corporal e aumentou também a percentagem
de massa gorda.
Constatou-se que a prática de exercício físico (musculação) conjugada com consultas de
aconselhamento nutricional em contexto de ginásio, contribuiu para a redução da massa
gorda e para uma melhoria da composição corporal dos clientes, representando numa
estratégia que pode contribuir para promover o estado de saúde de uma forma mais
equilibrada.
This report aims to describe the activities carried out throughout the project work intervention, to obtain the Master's Degree in Exercise and Health, held at the Brifitness Gymnasium in Bragança. The goals of the project work were: to evaluate the body composition of bodybuilders; perform assessments of the nutritional status of each practitioner; outline a diet plan for each according to their tastes and needs, with a view to gaining muscle mass; to evaluate the effect of nutritional intervention in association with bodybuilding practice. Nutrition consultations provided nutritional guidance tailored to customer needs. Thus, 13 consultations were carried out in total (8 first to 8 clients and 5 subsequent to 5 individuals who had also participated in the initial consultations). It was found that there were 1 female client and one male client who slightly decreased body mass and percentage of fat mass, while 1 male client slightly increased body mass and lean mass. Only 1 male client maintained body mass and increased lean mass and another client increased body mass and also increased the percentage of fat mass. It was verified that the practice of physical exercise (bodybuilding) in conjunction with nutritional counseling consultations in a gymnasium context, contributed to the reduction of fat mass and to an improvement of the body composition of the clients, representing in a strategy that can contribute to promote the state in a more balanced way.
