Abstract(s)
O estudo apresentado tem como finalidade, investigar questões sobre Educação
Ambiental com crianças de jardim de infância desenvolvendo o tema: ‘’Atividades de
Educação Ambiental no Jardim de Infância’’, onde destacamos, dentre outros, os
seguintes objetivos: (i) identificar os problemas relacionados com Ambiente em São
Tomé e príncipe, duma forma geral; (ii) acompanhar as crianças de quatro e cinco anos,
colaboradoras no estudo, em atividades de Educação Ambiental.
Para dar resposta aos objetivos enunciados colocamos questões relativas às atividades
desenvolvidas nos jardins de Infância e medidas em que podem ajudar as crianças a
compreenderem as dimensões Ambientais, e qual será a participação das crianças antes,
no decorrer e depois do estudo,
A metodologia utilizada é de natureza qualitativa e recorreu à realização de entrevistas
com questões abertas e observação direta das atividades realizadas com quarenta
crianças do Externato “A Princesinha” localizado na cidade de São Tomé, sendo, vinte e
quatro de sexo feminino e dezasseis do sexo masculino, de classe média/alta do país.
Os resultados apontaram dificuldades principalmente, nalgumas crianças de quatro anos,
em algumas aprendizagens, como a de relacionar o Ambiente escolar com o doméstico,
a importância de se ter o Ambiente limpo, nomeadamente, no Ambiente onde a vivência é
coletiva, como as comunidades escolar ou residencial, bem como em agrupar elementos
ambientais. No entanto, as crianças evidenciaram progressão ao nível dos
conhecimentos relacionados com as temáticas desenvolvidas.
Concluímos que o estudo cumpriu os seus objetivos e respondeu às questões
levantadas, sobretudo para saber, que as crianças das faixas etárias estudadas
entenderam as questões de caráter ambiental, evidenciando, as experiências educativas
de caráter científico de que as atividades faziam parte, e as crianças contribuíram com as
suas ideias e sugestões, comportando-se como uns verdadeiros investigadores e
agentes de mudanças.
Concluímos, também, que os conhecimentos sobre as questões ambientais devem ser
trabalhados nos Jardins de Infância, tendo como princípio, caminhar dos conceitos mais
elementares para os mais complexos, de uma forma concreta, ativa e globalizante.
The study had as purpose, investigate questions about environmental education with children from kindergarten through the theme: ''Environmental Education Activities in kindergarten'' where we highlight among others, the following objectives: identify the problems related to environment, a generally accompany the children of ages of four and five years involved in the study, serving as a basis for analysis of the practical point of view to the contribution these children in the acquisition of good practices, changing behaviors, and Nature protection. To respond to the objectives we put questions such as; to what extent do the activities in kindergartens can help children understand issues with Environmental dimensions, and what would be the participation of the same before, during and after the Study The methodology used consisted of interviews with open questions and direct observation, of the activities carried out with forty children of the Externato "A Princesinha" located in the city of Sao Tome; being, twenty-four female and 16 male, medium/high class in the country, following a line of research/action. The results of the studies carried out in some children essentially difficulties pointed out four years in some learnings, as to relate the school environment with the domestic, the importance of having clean, and mostly in the environment where the experience is legal, like school or residential communities, as well as in group the environmental elements- In conclusion, we believe that the study fulfilled its objectives and answered the issues raised, namely, if the children of these age groups would understand the issues of environmental character, evidencing, scientific activities where experiments are part, and children contribute with your ideas and suggestions, behaving like a real investigators and agents of change. In the case of the issues raised by these age groups about what would be its holdings as target group which fell to research, we conclude also that the knowledge must come from the kindergartens, in principle, most basic concepts to complex, and a concrete form, activates and globalized.
