dc.description.abstractAs tecnologias digitais têm provocado mudanças profundas na educação, influenciando as formas de comunicação e interacção entre alunos e professores. O crescente uso das redes sociais, como Facebook, WhatsApp e Instagram, gera novas dinâmicas de aprendizagem, permitindo que os estudantes compartilhem conhecimentos e colaborem em um ambiente virtual. Este artigo analisa como essas ferramentas contribuem para a aprendizagem e interacção entre alunos em instituições de ensino superior, considerando tanto as oportunidades quanto os desafios actuais. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida por meio de uma revisão bibliográfica, permitindo uma compreensão abrangente da temática. Os resultados revelam que o uso das redes sociais pelos universitários está em rápida ascensão, actuando como instrumentos que facilitam a conectividade e o acesso à informação. Entretanto, esses recursos também apresentam desafios, incluindo a propagação de informações falsas, questões de privacidade e segurança, além do risco de isolamento social entre os estudantes. Assim, o estudo enfatiza a importância de um uso equilibrado dessas ferramentas, explorando seus benefícios enquanto se precavê contra os impactos negativos, ao oferecer um entendimento mais claro sobre o papel das redes sociais no contexto educacional.por
dc.description.abstractDigital techonologies have brought about profound changes in education, influencing the ways in which students and teachers communicate and interact. The growing use of social networks, such as Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram, generates new learning dynamics, allowing students to share knowledge and collaborate in a virtual environment. This article analyzes how these tools contribute to learning and interaction among students in higher education institutions, considering both current opportunities and challenges. The research was developed through a literature review, allowing a comprehensive understanding of the topic. The results reveal that the use of social networks by university students is rapidly increasing, acting as instruments that facilitate connectivity and access to information. However, these resources also present challenges, including the spread of false information, privacy and security issues, and the risk of social isolation among students. Thus, the study emphasizes the importance of a balanced use of these tools, exploring their benefits while guarding against their negative impacts, by offering a clearer understanding of the role of social networks in the educational context.eng
