Abstract(s)
Exchange programs between colleges and students is not something new. However, this experience has been increasing in educational institutions around the world, and these have contributed to an international emphasis - whether at the level of learning, teaching or researching - since the need and self-interest of individuals has grown, as the market requires trainees and their institutions of higher education (HEI). It is a strategic way of responding to existing competitiveness at the higher level. Globalization and Technology are part of the journey that universities need to be attentive and always in constant updating so that it is possible to exchange interests between countries. The Federal University of Technology of Paraná (UTFPR) and the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), with their 101, the first, and 35 years, the second, of existence, are among the renowned higher schools that have large masses of students, projects and teachers in mobility, bringing culture, diversity and knowledge to the institutions. Both have international relations offices, which offers support and new doors to other possibilities for expansion at the global level. Higher education institutions are committed to action, teaching and research, enabling them to compete in a national and international environment, namely, promoting international mobility of students, teachers, researchers and non-teaching staff; promotion of internationalization and curriculum development; strategic cooperation, partnerships and institutional capacity building. The aim of the present study is to present an analysis of the importance and the level of internationalization, focusing on the countries of Brazil and Portugal, promoting student’s and teacher’s mobility programs, as well as double diploma projects of UTFPR and IPB institutions. By means of secondary data obtained from the archives of the two institutions, a comparison will be made between the two educational institutions in order to evaluate the student’s and teacher’s mobility programs growth and the thesis for the double diploma partnership growth.
