| dc.description.abstract | Este relatório tem como objetivo primordial analisar as tarefas desenvolvidas durante o estágio curricular desenvolvido na empresa ABC Traduções, inserido no Mestrado de Tradução do Instituto Politécnico de Bragança No decorrer do estágio foram desempenhadas diversas traduções e revisões de inúmeros documentos, particularmente de documentos académicos. Como consequência, fui confrontada com múltiplas situações que me motivaram a refletir sobre a tradução deste tipo de documentos, a categoria onde esta se insere a nível teórico e a sua aplicação prática. O presente relatório pretende apresentar o estado da arte da tradução dos documentos académicos em Portugal, as dificuldades linguísticas, as estratégias de tradução utilizadas para as resolver e os procedimentos legais com que o tradutor se confronta neste tipo de tradução, relacionando-os com o estatuto do tradutor em Portugal. Neste sentido, a primeira parte, de natureza essencialmente teórica, abordará estas questões, a ligação inevitável com a tradução jurídica e o estudo que se tem feito sobre esta temática. Na segunda, irei expor a forma como estas especificidades afetaram o desempenho das minhas tarefas e como estes processos influenciam o quotidiano do tradutor e do seu cliente. | dc.description.abstract | The main goal of this report is to analyse the tasks that were conducted during the curricular internship done in ABC Traduções which was part of the Master in Translation of the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança During the internship I carried out several translations and revisions of a number of documents, particularly of academic documents. Therefore, I faced a lot of situations which motivated me to think about the translation of these documents, the field where they belong at a theoretical level and its practical application. This report seeks to present the state of the art of the translation of academic documents in Portugal, the linguistic difficulties and the legal procedures imposed on the translator and relate this to the Portuguese translator status. The first part will be essentially theoretical by addressing these questions, the inevitable connection with legal translation and the studies conducted on this issue. Afterwards, I will show how these particularities affected the performance of my tasks and how these proceedings influence the translator and the client’s daily lives. At the end I intend to reflect upon this topic. | pt_PT |
